Professional Development
Sally has spent the last 20 years of her career actively involved in teacher professional development. Sally was Eisenhower Coordinator for a multi-county region in southwestern Michigan.
Dr. Adkin's doctorate dissertation focuses on a Structural Equation Model for the Implementation of Technology Professional Development. Her dissertation demonstrates that when professional development is closely related to the teachers work and is of sufficient intensity, professional development does impact positively teachers believe in and use of technology. This in turn impacts positively on student learning.
Sally is interested in helping make professional development better suit the complex needs of today's busy professionals.
